Earlier this month Amena Auto had reported about Audi’s plans to pull the plug manual transmission of the 2019 Audi A4 and A5 coupe in America. While its exit was imminent, the North American wing of Audi has decided to spice up the sale of the last 40 units of the three-pedal model.

The final 40 units of the 2018 Audi A4 will be sold under the name of Ultra sport. Reports suggest that the Ultra sport will possess extra goodies from the company. However, this will only be reserved for the US.

Audi had last time launched the Ultra sport during the B6 generation (A4s built between 2000 and 2006).

Audi had last time launched the Ultra sport during the B6 generation (A4s built between 2000 and 2006). For the A4 Ultra sport, the German company aims at digging into the parts bins of the RS and the S-lines.

The car will sport the iconic Quantum Gray paint scheme that is currently only seen on the RS and the S lines. It will also sport the 19-inch wheels from the S4 and the carbon inlays from the RS 4 Avant. Apart from that, the car will also have a flat-bottom steering wheel, dynamic steering with variable ratios from the S4, a sport adaptive damping suspension with a lowered ride height, and S-Line leather and Alcantara interior

Ahead of its conclusion in the US, the company had already ended its production in Germany due to its low demands. It had earlier stated that the A4 manual would continue to hit the production lines if it recorded a take rate of no less than 10 percent. Scoring much lower than the expectations, the A4 manual accounted only for two to three percent of its deliveries.
