MG Motor has confirmed its new MG6 sedan will be launched in the Middle East this year by late October. The British-born automotive company is enjoying increasing popularity backed by its modern product lineup.
MG Motor is rapidly expanding its range of offerings in the Middle East, leading to a major resurgence in its popularity, attracting an increasing number of buyers. Its latest offering in the Middle East is the new MG6 sedan, instantly recognisable by its sleek, dynamic profile. The executive sedan gets carbon fibre trim on the front bumper, headlamps featuring a ‘London Eye’ desgin concept, twin chrome exhausts and a ‘Star Rider’ front grille which aligns with the brand’s expressive design language.
Inside, the sporty, premium vibe continues with an intelligently configured dashboard and central console, complemented ably by leather-wrapped seats. The top trims receive a dual-tone black-and-red leather treatment. The MG6 offers class-leading interior space and builds on MG’s reputation by providing generous levels of equipment. The extensive feature list includes an 8-inch colour touch screen with Apple CarPlay, push-button-start, keyless entry, auto hold function, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking camera, dual-zone climate control, and rear air-conditioning vents to name a few.
MG is offering a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four engine mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with optional paddle shifters. The engine makes a peak power of 169hp and a twisting force of 250Nm. At the announcement of the launch of the MG6, Mr. Tom Lee, Managing Director of SAIC Motor Middle East said: “The all-new MG6 will reinforce the brand’s reputation for offering reliability and industry-leading value for money. By spending their hard-earned money on our cars in increasing numbers, customers across the region
are clearly demonstrating their appreciation of MG’s line-up of good-looking, well-equipped and technologically-advanced models. This new generation model will stand out in the Middle East’s prominent sedan segment, and will help us to achieve our objective of increasing market share.”
The MG6 joins MG Motor’s already existing lineup of the RX5 compact SUV and the ZS SUV which were launched earlier this year, along with the second-gneration GS and the 360 to complete the company’s product range in the Middle East.
