Al Masood Automobile on Wednesday launched the all-new 2019 Renault Duster at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Abu Dhabi alongside senior executives of both the companies.

The Renault Duster offers one of the best balance between an everyday commute and a dedicated 4WD mobility at a reasonably affordable price. Renault sold over 2, 45,000 models around the world and 55,000 in the Middle East alone.

Reports suggest that the new model is expected to return fewer sales which is evident from the falling numbers of the automotive market. The industry witnessed a fall of 22 per cent in 2016, 12 per cent in 2017 and 13 per cent in 2018 which consequently adds up to nearly 47 per cent lower sales in the past three years.

If the respective segments were to be analysed, reports suggest that the Duster holds roughly 12 per cent of the market share with Ford EcoSport having 10 per cent while Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks stands at 13 per cent and 40 per cent respectively.

Irfan Tansel, CEO, Al Masaood Automobiles, said: “We are proud to launch the all-new Duster in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain to cater to the growing demand for stylish SUVs that is within reach for our target markets. The all-new Duster further expands our diverse product offerings and we are confident it will attract a strong following in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain given its historical success as the ‘unstoppable SUV.”

Renault has put its neck out to make the new Duster driver in a friendly way and highlighted that the new model accounts for 50 per cent of noise reduction compared to the previous models. Driver assists on the new Duster include Hill Descent Control, Multiview camera and blindspot warning along with a 4×4 monitor, automatic air conditioning, Remote Engine Start, and a seven-inch touchscreen tablet.
