Nissan Motor Corporation has hired Samar Elmnhrawy as its new Vice President for Human Resources supporting the Middle East, Africa, and India regions.
Samar Elmnhrawy started her career as a chemical engineer backed by a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with honours from Cairo University, Egypt. She also holds an MBA with honours from the American University of Sharjah. She holds numerous other certificates and memberships, and also speaks at various industry events.
Ms. Elmnhrawy spent 15 years of her career with Baker Hughes in Houston, Texas. Her positions throughout her tenure at the company included Vice President of HR Integration Planning for the merger of Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas. She was responsible for the merger of the HR operating model, leadership, and culture readiness, executive compensation plans, and board governance. Prior to this, Ms. Elmnhrawy also held the position of HR Vice President of Global Operations, supporting 40,000 employees and 500 HR professionals.
With over twenty years of human resources and business leadership experience in mid-size and large companies, Samar Elmnhrawy was the perfect fit for her current position with Nissan. The Japanese automaker currently manufactures vehicles in 20 countries and has an operational presence in 160 countries and areas worldwide.
Samar Elmnhrawy joined Nissan in April 2018 having previously worked as Senior Human Resources Executive at Baker Hughes, helping Nissan to expand its presence in one of the fastest growing markets globally.
