French car manufacturer Peugeot inaugurated its first showroom in Oman through a strategic partnership with Al Hashar Group. Through this collaboration with a leading name in the automotive industry, Peugeot aims to bring its range of models in the Sultanate.

The inauguration on Sunday, 23 December, attracted a lot of high-profile attendees from the industry and media. The event was under the patronage of His Excellency Sa’ad bin Mohammed Al Mardhouf Al Sa’adi, the Minister of Sports Affairs. It featured a state-of-the-art “French Car Catwalk” showcasing the latest Peugeot models.

The partnership aligns with Peugeot’s strategy to expand its operations in the Gulf. It also consolidates Al Hashar Group’s vision to provide its customers with excellent service and world-class products tested as per Gulf specifications.

Samir Cherfan, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at PSA Group spoke about the significance of the partnership: “Oman is amongst the most important markets for PSA Group and Peugeot, and with this partnership, we’re aiming to achieve tangible growth in Oman. We continue to adapt our Push to Pass strategy to the region with the latest innovative products including the SUV and LCV ranges.

Sheikh Mohanned Al Hashar, Chairman of Al Hashar Group with His Excellency Sheikh Sa'ad Al Sa'adi, Minister of Sports Affairs were also present at the event.

Peugeot will bring its three SUVs to Oman- the all-new 2008, 3008, and 5008. The 208 and 308 sedans that strike the perfect balance between design and flexibility will also go up on offer. Lastly, the firm’s range of commercial vans is also coming to the Omani market. All Peugeot cars have undergone hot-weather testing with GCC spec to ensure durability and reliability in the harsh environment of the Gulf countries.
