Nissan Motor Corporation and the Automotive Association of the Middle East and North Africa (AMENA Automotive) have joined forces to stimulate growth and raise standards of the regional automotive industry.

Nissan currently enjoys a dominating position in car sales across the region. Its current line-up consists of 17 vehicles of which most are leading the segment they sell in. Achieving a third position in overall sales across the GCC region, Nissan’s SUV line-up has commanded a strong regional presence just behind rivals Toyota and Hyundai.

Nissan was also the title sponsor for AMENA’s Women In Automotive Forum 2018, showcasing its pioneering efforts towards women empowerment in the region along with emphasising on gender diversity in the automotive industry. The company has actively been trying to further the cause of women in the automotive industry, both on global as well as regional levels.

Beating its rivals, Nissan has already begun to offer its vehicles with NIM (Nissan Intelligent Mobility) technology. Although NIM is currently only limited to a web of safety and driver assistance systems, future cars from the brand will have even more advanced technologies on offer.

Being a member of AMENA, Nissan can leverage the insights and data provided by AMENA to get a much deeper understanding of the Middle Eastern and North African markets. This can help the company with market and product strategies accordingly.

A partnership with AMENA can help Nissan engage better targeting in the market and strategize its product range accordingly.

AMENA Automotive was founded primarily to stimulate growth in the industry by sharing knowledge for best practices. “AMENA Automotive was created as a partnership-led company and we’re proud to join forces with world-class partners,” said Alan Whaley, Chairman of AMENA.

AMENA caters to manufacturers, dealers, professionals and third-party suppliers in the automotive industry in the Middle East and North Africa. The primary goal behind AMENA is to foster prosperity and success in the regional automotive industry. Through knowledge sharing, thought leadership, and market intelligence, AMENA raises the profile of the industry.
