GMC recently unveiled two new variants of its all-new 2019 Sierra that are exclusive just to the Middle East market. The variants in question – Elevation and AT4, are now available in Regular Cab configuration as well. These newly-launched variants will now complete the 2019 Sierra family that’s already on sale throughout the region in Crew Cab configuration.
The launch of the Sierra Elevation and AT4 Regular Cab trims was conducted during Suhoor at the Dana Ramadan tent in City Walk Dubai, United Arab Emirates. GMC announced that the new entrants to the 2019 Sierra lineup will officially go on sale across the Middle East in June. The American auto giant also said that these two special variants will be joined by the SLE variant, which will also be sold in the Regular Cab body style.
The 2019 Sierra brings in several unique features which make it stand out from other vehicles in its class. One of these is the MultiPro Tailgate.
“These all-new trucks are built on the legacy of previous Sierra models both locally and globally. Supporting us and writing the legacy of the Sierra in the region are our customers." - Daniella D’Souza, Head of Brand - GMC Middle East.
Daniella D’Souza, Head of Brand – GMC Middle East, said, “These all-new trucks are built on the legacy of previous Sierra models both locally and globally. Supporting us and writing the legacy of the Sierra in the region are our customers, and the Elevation and AT4 regular cabs are testament to the strong relationship we are proud to share with Sierra owners in the region. Along with the other trims we have on offer, we are now giving customers more choice than they ever had when picking the GMC truck to suit their lifestyle.”
While most places across the globe are shying away from pick-up trucks, buyers in the Middle East have always loved them. Pick-up trucks are widely viewed and used as lifestyle vehicles in this part of the world, which explains their immense popularity and also why they are such a common sight on our roads. Among the wide range of pick-up trucks that are available in the UAE and other Middle East nations, the GMC Sierra has always been one of the top choices for buyers in this segment. And with the introduction of the new region-specific variants, sales are only going to up.

The all-new 2019 GMC Sierra was only launched a month ago, and it ushered in sweeping changes to one of the marque’s best-selling models. It now featured a more modern design, newer technologies, improved off-roading prowess, and more efficient powertrains. The 2019 Sierra brings in several unique features which make it stand out from other vehicles in its class. One of these is the MultiPro Tailgate, which GMC claims is the most innovative tailgate ever fitted to a pick-up truck. It comes with six unique functions and positions, thus offering an enhanced second-tier loading and load-stop solutions, plus a standing workstation with easier, much improved access to items in the box.
The other breakthrough technology can be found in the 2019 Sierra’s rear-view mirror located inside the cabin. It’s called the Rear Camera Mirror and it allows drivers to get a more optimised view of what’s behind their truck. GMC has achieved this by using a high resolution camera that projects whatever is behind the Sierra and then displays it on the rear-view mirror. Furthermore, this advanced feature also allows drivers to tilt or zoom in, thereby improving safety while driving or parking.
The 2019 GMC Sierra range gets four different powertrain options, depending on the variants chosen. There’s the all-new 2.7-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 310 hp and 473 Nm of torque, a 4.3-litre V6 that makes 285 hp and 413 Nm, a reworked 5.3-litre V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) developing 355 hp and 519 Nm, and finally, the range-topping 6.2-litre V8 with 420 hp and 623 Nm of torque.
