Audi and the company’s exclusive dealer for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Al Nabooda Automobiles have been announced as the sponsor of the upcoming UAE Tour 2020.
As part of the sponsorship, Al Nabooda Automobiles will provide a fleet of the latest Audi models to ensure the race proceeds smoothly and safely throughout the seven days. The UAE Tour will kick off on 23rd February 2020 in Dubai and conclude on 29th February in Abu Dhabi. Audi cars will be deployed to perform crucial duties during the event, from ferrying race officials to providing support to cyclists on the ground.

Part of the UCI World Tour, the cycling marathon will be in its second edition next year. The first instalment of the marathon saw 140 riders participating, representing some 18 World Tour countries. Some top cycling names like Mark Cavendish, Caaleb Ewan, Fernando Gaviria, Dan Martin, Tony Martin, Richie Porte and Elia Viviani took part in the inaugural race.
For 2020, the course is set to cover more than 1000km with an elevation gain of 4500m throughout UAE’s different terrains. The race will pass through Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Dubai Sports Council Secretary General, said, “The UAE Tour is the only UCI WorldTour race in the Middle East and demonstrates perfectly how together we can host an elite sporting event and with it showcase our region to the world. It was an amazing accomplishment to be a part of the team staging the first UAE Tour and we know that for the second edition we have made developments to make it even more exciting.”
