Ram Trucks has announced the launch of the Ram 1500 Rebel Black Edition in the region. The special edition pickup arrives as part of the firm’s lineup for model year 2020.
“Buyers demand a good-looking truck with easy-to-use features. They often tell us that their Ram trucks are an extension of their personality and want to stand out from the crowd,” said Stuart Laurie, Head of Ram Trucks in the Middle East. “Whether it’s the off-road-enthusiast appeal of the Ram 1500 Rebel or the luxury of the Limited, Ram trucks deliver features and durability that are winning over more and more buyers. With the 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel Black, we merged both worlds into one.”
The 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel Black Edition sports better suspension than its standard siblings.
Sporting all-terrain tyres and a 1-inch lift from the factory, the Black Edition is more capable off the road. It can be pushed even further with available Active-LevelTM Four Corner Air Suspension that lifts the truck an extra inch on demand. Drivers can also choose between different ride heights like Entry/Exit (lowest), Aero (high efficiency), Normal, and Off-Road, which gives them the highest ride height.
The Rebel Black Edition features Bilstein shock absorbers with remote reservoirs. Paired with the suspension are 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac AT tyres, Elocker electronic locking rear differential, and Hill Descent Control.
The special edition 1500 gets power from a 395-hp 5.7-litre Hemi V8 that features cylinder deactivation. As for design, Ram has given a few tweaks to the overall design of the truck. These include a unique grille design, powder coated grille, front and back bumper, and blacked out details on the exhaust tips, headlamp and taillamp surrounds, and foglamp inserts.
The all-black look of the Ram 1500 Rebel Black Edition sets it apart from its regular siblings. The interior carries the dark theme forward, with more premium features added to the package. Black leather upholstery is standard, as are Rebel branded rubber floor mats. A dual-pane panoramic sunroof makes the cabin feel spacious.
Ram has incorporated several clever storage features into the special-edition Rebel.
The Rebel Black features a 9-speaker Amplified Alpine sound system with subwoofer, and Ram’s fourth-generation Uconnect system accessible through a 12-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are integrated into the infotainment unit, and the home screen is customisable with split-screen capability.
Ram has also added convenience features like a fully dampened tailgate with remote opening, keyless entry, remote start, flat-load floor, exclusive lockable RamBox bedside storage, centre console with 12 different storage configurations, and cubbyholes inside the cabin for storing various items.
The 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel Black Edition is available to order at all Ram showrooms in Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman.
