Swaidan Trading Co. LLC, the authorized distributor for Maxus in the UAE, launched the Maxus D90 SUV in showrooms across the country. Coming under the brand SAIC Motor, Maxus predominantly sells SUVs, MPVs, and light commercial vehicles.

The Maxus D90 is presented as a luxury three-row SUV targeted at young families.

Maxus is targeting young families with the D90, equipping the SUV with an exhaustive list of safety features. A driver fatigue monitor, ISOFIX attachments for child seats, and hill descent control are some of the significant features of the D90.
The Chinese carmaker has also added adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, front-collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, pedestrian detection system, autonomous emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition to the SUV’s list of safety features. All trims of the car get six airbags as standard, and an available tyre pressure monitoring system. Buyers can choose between 19-inch and 21-inch wheels for their D90.
Maxus’s latest SUV is a feature-rich product when it comes to technology and convenience options. LED headlamps and DRLs, panoramic sunroof, heated wing mirrors, gesture-controlled tailgate, ambient lighting, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin gets leather upholstery, powered seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
The elegant interior boasts of a long list of creature comforts and safety systems.
Powering the D90 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine good for 221hp and 350Nm. The three-row SUV should have enough punch for various daily driving scenarios with the amount of power and torque at hand. Mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, power is sent to either the rear wheels or all four depending on trim. The D90 offers three driving modes: Normal, Sport, Eco. The 4WD model also comes with an electronic locking differential for off-road driving capability.
The 2020 Maxus D90 will go up against cars like Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva, and Haval H6 in the UAE.
