Dubai’s high-speed transport system initiated by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with France’s MND. The inked agreement aims to explore innovative solutions that will offer a completely new experience in aerial transportation. And also, part of RTA’s efforts in fulfilling Dubai’s vision to transform 25% of all trips into self-driving by 2030.The French mobility specialist called its design for a suspended transport network the Cabline system. It is a fully automatic, driverless transport system and a self-propelled cabin with a speed of 45 kph. It uses a minimalist infrastructure, so it is flexible, energy-saving, and has a minor impact on the urban environment. There have been previous agreements of RTA with companies like Zhong Tan Sky Railway Group and uSky Transport of Belarus. The agreement with uSky is already being tested at the 400-metre test track at Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park.
